Relationship Quotes

Honesty is the key to a relationship.
If you can fake that, you're in.

 Relationships are like glass.
Sometimes it's better to leave them broken
than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

It is the things in common
that make relationships enjoyable,
but it is the little differences
that make them interesting.

Love is not about finding the right person,
but creating a right relationship.
It's not about how much love
you have in the beginning
but how much love
you build till the end.

The ultimate test of a relationship is to disagree,
but still hold hands.

The most wonderful
of all things in life,
I believe, is the discovery of
another human being
with whom one's relationship
has a growing depth, beauty,
and joy as the years increase.
This inner progressiveness of love
between two human beings
is a most marvelous thing;
it cannot be found by looking for it
or by passionately wishing for it.
It is a sort of divine accident,
and the most wonderful
of all things in life.

Relationships are like snapshots;
some you remember and some you forget,
but some you never develop
and you never get to see how they would have turned out.

A relationship is a two way street.
It's never all your fault or the other persons.
You go into the relationship together
and work through it all together.

Whenever you're in conflict with someone,
there is one factor
that can make the difference
between damaging
your relationship and deepening it.
That factor is attitude.

Man is a knot into
which relationships are tied.

There is no feeling more comforting
and consoling than knowing
you are right next to the one you love.

Some people come into
our lives and quickly go.
Some stay for awhile and
leave footprints on our hearts.
And we are never,
ever the same.

Assumptions are the
termites of relationships.

The most important thing in a relationship
between a man and a woman is that
one of them be good at taking orders

All at once, you look across a crowded room
for no one in particular, just looking.
Suddenly, you see him, but, oh,
how many times you've seen him before.
So why did your heart just skip a beat?
Your eyes meet by mere coincidence, or is it?

At that moment you both instantly know that
the relationship between the two of you,
will never be the same again.

It is the things in common
that make relationships enjoyable,
but it is the little differences
that make them interesting.

Women might be
able to fake orgasms.
But men can fake
whole relationships.

Most relationships are
not made in heaven.
They come in kits and
you have to put them together yourselves.

Dating is so insecure.
My last relationship,
I was always there for her
and she dumped me.
I told her about it. I said,
Remember when your grandma died?
I was there.
Remember when you flunked out of school?
I was there.
Remember when you lost your job?
I was there!
She said, I know
- you're bad luck.

Distance doesn't matter
if you really love the person,
what matters most is your honesty
and trust for that relationship to work out.

Long distance relationships
are like wind to a fire;
it puts out the small ones,
but inflames the big ones

You know it is love when
you want to share everything with her,
even her pain.
You know it is love when
you can't stop thinking about her.
You know it is love when
you'd rather be in a relationship
but apart than not in a relationship at all.
But, most of all,
you know it is love when
your happiness is dependant upon hers.
At least that's how I know.

Well, it seems to me that
the best relationships
- the ones that last
- are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship.

A relationship is like a train.
If one passes,
then the next one will come.
I'm sure and if you get off the train,
you'll realize that everything is the same.

Relationships are like crystals,
you don't realize how much
you love it until it breaks.

A loving relationship is one in
which the loved one is free to be himself
- to laugh with me,
but never at me;
to cry with me,
but never because of me;
to love life,
to love himself,
to love being loved.
Such a relationship is based
upon freedom and
can never grow in a jealous heart.

You can't stop loving or wanting
to love because when its right,
it's the best thing in the world.
When you're in a relationship and it's good,
even if nothing else in your life is right,
you feel like your whole world is complete.

When we're incomplete,
we're always searching for somebody to complete us.

When, after a few years or a few months of a relationship,
we find that we're still unfulfilled,
we blame our partners and take
up with somebody more promising.
This can go on and on
- series polygamy
- until we admit that while a
partner can add sweet dimensions to our lives,
we, each of us, are responsible for our own fulfillment.
Nobody else can provide it for us,
and to believe otherwise is to delude ourselves dangerously
and to program for eventual failure every relationship we enter.

LIFETIME relationships
teach you lifetime lessons;
those things you must
build upon in order
to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person/people (anyway);
and put what you have learned
to use in all other relationships
and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind
but friendship is clairvoyant...

Relationships of all kinds
are like sand held in your hand.
Held loosely, with an open hand,
the sand remains where it is.
The minute you close your hand
and squeeze tightly to hold on,
the sand trickles through your fingers.
You may hold onto some of it,
but most will be spilled.
A relationship is like that.
Held loosely, with respect
and freedom for the other person,
it is likely to remain intact.
But hold too tightly, too possessively,
and the relationship slips away and is lost.

There is one pain I often feel
which you will never know
because it is caused by the absence of you.

The more connections
you and your lover make,
not just between your bodies,
but between your minds,
your hearts, and your souls,
the more you will strengthen the
fabric of your relationship,
and the more real moments
you will experience together...

In a relationship.
The times that I remember the most.
Are the times when I was with my girlfriend
in the spirit of love.
Not in the feeling of lust..
